COMPUTER SERVICE & REPAIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. DISCLAIMER

1a. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD will only perform computer related service, repairs, and upgrades requested by the client. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD will conduct reasonable, genuine, and honest service to all job requested. We aim to reach the highest level of service quality to our clients, but in some cases, the outcome cannot be guaranteed due to unpredictable status (ex: power outage, nature disaster, and sprinkler etc.)

1b. The concept of computer repair is a SERVICE. In some case, your computer or device may not able to apply the service. It will be consider to renew, upgrade, or recycle. (ex: out of date hardware, unable to find replacement of parts, end of life product, incompatible hardware (CPU/Mainboard), etc. But we will try our best to provide passible solution of your device.

1c. the time frame of onsite service / extreme repair task cannot be guaranteed since the condition are vary. With onsite service, we can only quote for the estimate time length to our client. There are many uncertain condition in client’s place such as internet connection, power issue, and other issue cannot managed by client and us. For the extreme repair task such as water damaged device, massive replacement required device, and long waiting period of special part will be consider longer processing time. In general, we can finalised the service within 2-5 business days.

1d. you understand that BACKUP the DATA is extremely important for you before you hand over the device to us. Even so there is still a potential for LOSS OF DATA on your device. Please let us know if you have important data inside your device before we proceed the task of repair. And you agreed that you have made all necessary backup of your own device. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD will not be responsible for data loss after we proceed the repair task. (See paragraph 4d. below)

1e. you authorise the technician(s) from LUXTRONIC PTY TD to install software such as antivirus, benchmark test, and any other necessary software on your computer to perform required services. Due to the copyright issue, all software will be deleted / uninstalled upon completion of the service unless there is a GENUINE license provided from you (see paragraph 8b below).

1f. We will notify you when the repair task completed and waiting for your collection. However, as part of your responsibility, you should visit our service location in your earliest convenience. Please let us know what time you can collect your device. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD will reserved repaired device for 60 Calendar days since noticed. After 60 days we are not responsible for the reservation of your device.

2. BILLING TERMS

2a. The main service charge will explain to client face to face before the service applied. Service fee includes inspection and following quotation of involved parts/software. As respect of our clients, we will NOT proceed the service task until you agreed the quotation. The service fee is calculate case by case, it means every case has its own service fee stated on the service order. For our B2B onsite service, charges will be calculated in 1 hour increments, and carry a minimum 1 hour charge of $165AU (GST included).

2b. An estimate of cost for work will be provided before performing computer services/repairs, and onsite services. Estimates are not guaranteed.

2c. In the case that there is an unforeseen deviation, beyond the above estimated amount, every effort will be made to contact you and inform you of the situation and receive authorisation to continue or stop at the estimate limit.

2d. In the case that you cannot be reached with all contact methods provided by you, service will held until contact is established. Once reached, it will be your decision for continue the service or termination will be honoured by LUXTRONIC PTY LTD.



3. PAYMENT TERMS


3a. FULL PAYMENT is due upon service order, completion of services, upgrades, or repairs.

3b. Parts, hardware, and /or software that involved within service are ordered or special ordered must be paid in FULL. 

3c. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD accepts cash, EFTPOS, credit cards : Master and VISA with 1% surcharge,  AMEX with 1.5% surcharge, or bank account transfer.



4. LIABILITY

4a. All Service(s) are provided an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer system(s) for which you request such service(s).

4b.We will put our best effort to FIX your computer not damage it.

4c. In the case of accidental damage of data to your system or data loss caused by already existing problems in your system such as viruses, spyware, malware , bad configured software, or hardware problems/failures -You agree to hold LUXTRONIC PTY LTD and any person(s) associated with LUXTRONIC PTY LTD or involved in the work being done for you harmless from damages resulting from such problems.

4d. It is your responsibility to BACKUP your data before we proceed any kind of service/repair in our service location. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD will not be responsible for data loss. (See para 1d. above)


5. SUPPORT

5a. Your satisfaction is our first priority.

5b. All services will be conducted in a professional, reasonable and timely manner. Also, taking into consideration the circumstances and nature of the technical problems.

5c. Free support will be provided for problems to be resolved from the service order, but not resolved.

 

6. REPAIRS & SERVICE GURANTEE

6a. All services and repairs are guaranteed for 14 days from the completion / acceptance date on the tax invoice.

6b. If later found that the service or repair was incorrectly diagnosed by the technician. Then LUXTRONIC PTY LTD will perform the repair/service free of any labour charge. Only the new parts required will be charged.

6c. The warranty of parts / hardware will be stated on tax invoice.

6d. Software does not covered with warranty. The service of software such as Operating System, and/or other involved software come with 14 days period of free resolution. After 14 days, you will be charge inspection fee or service fee in advance.

 

7. INSPECTION

7a. A $90 AUD (GST Included) inspection fee is payable when client request diagnostic of their device (Student and pension discount may apply)

7b. The time of inspection may vary due to the issue was unknown or the device requires further test for its problem. You will be notify an estimate inspection time but not guaranteed.

7c. Please provide important information (such as water damaged, sparks of charging header, and other visible issue you aware of) before we proceed the inspection, it will speed up the time to identify your device’s problem.

7d. Answer only those questions that the technician may ask in order to properly evaluate your device’s problem.


8. COPYRIGHT

8a. LUXTRONIC PTY LTD DO NOT ACCEPT ANY KIND OF PIRATE VERSION SOFTWARE USAGE ON OUR SERVICES. 

8b. It is your responsibility to check that your device does not contain any software against copyright regulations. 8c. All software involved with our service will deleted before completion of service.


9. AGREEMENT

9a. By signing the service form or submit service requested from service.luxtronic.com.au, You are authorised technician(s) or person associate with LUXTRONIC PTY LTD to provide service to you. And you are agreed all our terms and condition shown above.
